Judge Solie Ringold Fund

Gifts & Funds

Solie M. Ringold (1914-2004) graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1936. His career included private practice and work in the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office. He also served in Army intelligence in the South Pacific during World War II.

He was appointed to King County Superior Court in 1961. He served on that bench until 1977 and then served another ten years (1978-1988) on the Washington Court of Appeals. He was the first -- and for many years -- only Jewish judge in the state.

Connie and Edward Barthold made a gift to the library to buy books in memory of Judge Ringold.
