Library Services for Faculty and Staff

Information for UW Law Faculty and Staff about the services we offer.

Tutorials and In-class Presentations

Reference staff are available to speak to your class or create an online tutorial about research strategies and sources. Contact us at lawref@uw.edu to schedule a session. Students also always are welcome to make one-on-one appointments with a member of the reference team to consult on any aspect of the research process.

We invite you to include a note in your syllabus about how we can help your students. We've included sample language below but please get in touch if you’d like us to write up something more specific for your class:

The reference librarians are legal research experts who are dedicated to helping students with research questions, database training, locating academic resources, etc. Visit the library’s UW Law Students page for more information about their services generally. To get help, you can email the Public Services librarians directly at lawref@uw.edu (open 9am-5pm M-Fri). If you have a detailed research question or would prefer to meet privately with a librarian, you may set up an individual appointment.
