Library Resources for Members of the Public

We welcome legal researchers to use the reference services and collections of the Gallagher Law Library. This guide will help you understand our policies and resources.

Public Access to Federal Depository Library Program Materials

If you would like to access Gallagher Law Library’s FDLP materials, please make an appointment during stated hours using the Book a visitor appointment link. If you have concerns about getting access to FDLP materials outside of appointment hours, visit your local library (Seattle Public Library, King County Law Library, King County Bellevue Regional Library, etc.) to request FDLP materials not already at those locations be sent there via interlibrary loan (ILL). Be advised that you may also access materials at any open UW Libraries branch with a UW Libraries Borrower’s Card. This card is free for certain groups, but otherwise requires an annual fee.
