Library Resources for Members of the Public

We welcome legal researchers to use the reference services and collections of the Gallagher Law Library. This guide will help you understand our policies and resources.

Public Access to Federal Depository Library Program Materials

If you would like to access Gallagher Law Library’s Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) materials, book an appointment

If you have concerns about accessing FDLP materials outside of appointment hours, visit your local library to request FDLP materials. Items not already at those locations can be sent there via their Interlibrary loan (ILL) services.

You may also access FDLP materials at any open UW Libraries branch with a UW Libraries Borrower’s Card. This card is free for certain groups, but otherwise requires an annual fee.
